Since the advent of co-education in the early 1970's, H.C.S. has developed into a day school of around 530 boys and girls, aged from 11 to 18. This number includes a Sixth Form of about 130.
There is a staff of over sixty teachers, with careers, library and other ancillary staff providing support services.
Hereford Cathedral School's academic reputation is among the very best, with an average pass rate of 98% at both G.C.S.E. and A level. Almost all our Sixth Form leavers continue into Higher Education, with a number going on to Oxford or Cambridge Universities.
