Magdalen College School

Magdalen College School is a closely-knit community of about 660 pupils aged 7 - 18. No boy is overlooked or lost in the crowd in a school that is small enough to ensure every boy is noticed for his own character and talents, whilst also being large enough to provide a very wide range of subjects, sport and activities.

Since 1480, boys from all sorts of backgrounds have studied here at MCS and, in many cases, gone on to win great honour or to accomplish much in the world. Old boys of distinction span the centuries from William Tyndale and Sir Thomas More to recent Nobel Prize winner, Dr Tim Hunt, and Oscar winner, Sam Mendes. Today, with its high standards of achievement and behaviour, along with an excellent reputation for its friendly atmosphere and attentive pastoral care, Magdalen College School continues to build on this extraordinary past.
