Do public schools still teach on Saturdays?
Formal lessons on Saturday are now quite rare, but a lot of schools, both boarding and day, organise games or compulsory matches on Saturdays.
Schools often arrange cultural activities and excursions on Saturdays and invite both day and boarding pupils to participate. These might include theatre trips, skating, sailing or music workshops as well as various clubs for interests as diverse as motor mechanics and cookery, climbing and drama.
