Stowe School
Reviews | News | Further Information Stowe is incomparably beautiful. The main School building, once the mansion of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos, is set in 750 acres of landscape garden and parkland. Stowe School opened in 1923 with the intention of breaking the mould of existing public schools - not bound by decades of tradition but free to innovate.
An academic education and a broad development of an individual's talents should be the aim of all schools. At Stowe we believe in the pursuit of excellence, to identify and develop the individual strengths of each of our pupils, nurture their talents and prepare them for the future.
Stowe provides a unique educational environment, in which youth is celebrated rather than stifled, where creativity is prized and academic rigour encouraged. With our Tutor system and academic clinics, pupils are encouraged, supported and challenged. Our Scholars are given many opportunities to explore beyond the confines of the curriculum.
Art, drama, music and sport all play a key part in the education provision and cultural life at Stowe. We are proud of the achievements of our pupils as we provide the basis for them to develop their talents further at University, specialist art, drama or music colleges.
