Sutton Valence School has over 425 years of proud history, founded in 1576 by William Lambe under Charter of Elizabeth I. The School occupies an area of about 100 acres on a high ridge overlooking the Weald of Kent.

To succeed at Sutton Valence pupils should be prepared to tackle their academic goals with enthusiasm and commitment and to involve themselves in the wider life of the school through the extensive extra-curricular programme.

Education at Sutton Valence is in the broadest sense, equipping out pupils to be self-reliant, resourceful and comfortable with the many challenges that adult life will throw at them. With the benefits of small classes and tutor groups and an all embracing philosophy of care and respect for others and ourselves, the way is paved for our pupils to mature into well-grounded, compassionate adults with a zest for life.
