The Purcell School is an international specialist music school funded by the British Government's Music and Dance Scheme. Entry is by musical audition only and places are offered on the strength of the musical potential of the applicant irrespective of their parents' ability to pay. Generous grants and scholarships are available to students who do not qualify for government-aided places. Academic results are excellent with students gaining entry to Oxbridge but over 90% of students go on to study music at conservatoires all over the world.
